John has been involved in music all his life and boasts a wealth of experience in all aspects of the music business.John is best known for his iconic music business "Top Twenty" . Along with been one of Irelands top independent music stores his Naas Yamaha Music School and Ticketmaster agency are simply legendary in Co Kildare.
He studied classical piano for many years, has performed both as a solo artist and with various bands throughout Ireland and Europe. He also performed many times on TV and Radio, and has been musical director for many stage productions, He has also been very successful with his own song writing.
From the age of 14 John has had the performing drug, cutting his teeth with the likes of The Exiles Showband under the mentoring of the the legendary Ber Hennessy. Opening Top Twenty in 1985 put a hault to his performing but John has always wanted to dedicate a bit more time to.. "the music"…and a little less to "the business".......resulting in him going full time into the entertainment side of the business in 2012
Johns own production, The Piano Man Theatre Show, Irelands greatest tribute act to the music of Elton John and Billy Joel has sold out many theatres in Ireland. John performs the show both as a solo artist and with the amazing 10 piece Band The 52nd Street Band. Complete with grand piano, backing group and some of Irelands finest musicians, this show is not to be missed. The show will be touring Ireland again in the near future....watch this space!
